SANDY HARRIS | PRESIDENT

Sandy Harris has served many years with Inclusion Edmonton Region, serving currently in the role of Secretary and other roles. Her commitment to inclusion and equal opportunity has its roots in raising two children, Laura (30) and Geoff (29), both of whom have post-secondary education. Laura is a practicing Pharmacist, and Geoff, who has a developmental disability, was supported during his inclusive post-secondary education at NAIT in the Personal Fitness Trainer Program. Sandy values the element of connecting with families, sharing and learning from others’ experiences, brainstorming possibilities, and sharing resources. Sandy continues to value her very rewarding professional duties of being a Respiratory Therapist, giving her the privilege of helping those who are in their most vulnerable state. Sandy has an ongoing involvement as a parent participant, having completed Inclusion Alberta’s Family Leadership Series and Inclusion Edmonton Region’s Pathfinders Workshop - Creating a Vision, adding to her list of diverse tools and skills.
